How to clean "grandmother's" cast iron pots and pans

Every housewife probably has “grandmother's” cast-iron dishes somewhere in the kitchen! The cast iron that you can buy now cannot be compared with the quality that was before. But how to cook delicious dishes when the dishes are covered with a permanent burnt layer of fat? And is it possible to give your favorite frying pan a second life? There is an exit!

We will need:

- universal PVA glue (regular medium jar)
- laundry soap 72%

So, to begin with, we grate laundry soap on a coarse grater. Pour water into a large container and bring it almost to a boil. At this point, we reduce the fire and pour grated soap and PVA glue into the basin. Mix everything thoroughly so that the soap dissolves. In the resulting solution, we lower the frying pan that has been “killed” for years ...

Next, cook it for 2 hours over medium heat, adding water when part of the solution evaporates.

After 2 hours, drain the entire solution and cool the pan itself a little under running water. The solution makes the fat itself very soft and in some places it begins to crumble. We bring it to a perfect shine with the usual cleaning with a metal sponge.

The most effective and simple way, and most importantly not expensive! And here is the result - the dishes sparkle and ask to cook dinner in it.
