Super anti wrinkle! The only truly effective moisturizer!
The best filler for injection therapy! Hyaluronic acid has been elevated to the rank of almost an elixir of youth.
What is it really, where does it come from and what can it do? We found.
1. How do we know about it?
For the first time, hyaluronic acid was talked about back in 1934 ... by veterinarians. It was they who discovered a new substance in the composition of the bull's eye and began to study its properties. It turned out that hyaluronic acid has a unique ability to retain water: its molecule attracts and binds THOUSAND water molecules.
2. Why is it needed?
Hyaluronic acid is produced by the cells of our body. It is constantly present in the joints, thanks to which they are so flexible and mobile. In the eyeball, it maintains the normal state of the vitreous body. And in the skin, it fills the voids between the fibers of collagen and elastin, thus creating a kind of mattress in which collagen and elastin are springs, and hyaluronic acid is polyurethane foam, which does not allow the springs to straighten and stretch.
3. Why is it added to cosmetics?
As we age, the body produces less and less hyaluronic acid. This is one of the main causes of skin aging and wrinkle formation. Production starts to decline at the age of 25, and by the age of 50 it drops by half! But there is good news: hyaluronic acid is effective both as part of a cream or serum, as well as in the form of an injection, and even in the form of a dietary supplement.
4. How is it obtained?
Once upon a time, hyaluronic acid was extracted with great difficulty from (terrible to imagine) fish and (even worse) cockscombs. Thank God it's in the past. Today, all the proposed products are of artificial origin, since a simple way has been found to synthesize hyaluronic acid. There are no bacteria in such a preparation, in composition it is completely identical to the acid that our body synthesizes, so this is actually the only cosmetic component that is guaranteed not to cause allergies.
5. How does hyaluronic acid cream work?
Hyaluronic acid molecules are quite large. Therefore, when applied superficially, a cream or serum with hyaluronic acid will moisturize only the top layer of the skin. At the age of 25, this is quite enough to even out the relief and create comfortable conditions for the skin, protect it from dehydration and keep the useful components of the cream under this protective film. The recommended dosage of hyaluronic acid in cosmetics is from 0.01% to 1%, and on the label it is referred to as hyaluronic acid, glycosaminoglycan, hyaluronan or hylan.
6. How does the injection work?
If age-related changes in the skin have become more serious (usually this occurs between 30 and 40 years, depending on the genetic predisposition, lifestyle and quality of self-care), the external application of hyaluronic acid will not solve the problem. Injection methods are quite up to the task. With the help of a thin needle, the doctor injects pure hyaluronic acid into the “sunken” area (this can be the brow crease, transverse frontal wrinkle, nasolabial fold or chin area).
Once in the "native" environment, hyaluronic acid molecules begin to attract moisture from the surface of the skin to the deeper layers. Accumulating around the hyaluronic molecule, water molecules straighten the wrinkle from the inside, pushing it to the surface. And the relief of the face returns youthful outlines. Most often, cosmetologists use hyaluronic acid preparations under the names Restylane, Perlane, Juvederm.
7. How long will the effect last?
Alas, the hyaluron molecules artificially introduced into the skin gradually lose their activity and the effect of the injections fades away. Usually, the procedure has to be repeated after 6-12 months, depending on the individual characteristics of the patient.
8. Am I at risk of getting hooked on injections?
If we talk about physiological dependence, then no, moreover, your own skin cells will continue to produce as much hyaluronic acid as they can, without reducing their activity in any way with additional administration. And psychologically - yes, and it would be strange to remain silent about this. After you see what miracles hyaluron is capable of, not many people are able to voluntarily give up this rejuvenating effect.
9. Does it moisturize hair?
And how. Masks, serums and other hair products with hyaluronic acid in the composition of trichologists recommend to all patients complaining of dryness, brittleness, lack of shine and naughty hair. The effect is close to what the cream has on the surface of the skin: hyaluronic acid retains water in the hair shaft and does not allow moisture to evaporate.
10. And if you take it inside?
A great option for those who are afraid of injections, but are no longer ready to do with creams. Hyaluronic acid is sold in pharmacies in mini-sachets, capsules or tablets, which doctors recommend taking once a day. Interestingly, if you combine the intake of hyaluronic acid with the intake of vitamin C, it will be absorbed almost 8 times more efficiently. But you will notice the effect only after 2-3 months, so this option is for the patient.
ABOUT! Inside, this is just my option. I am afraid to give any injections in the face, but in the composition of creams it is not so effective. I really liked the Evalar hyaluronic acid. The skin is visibly refreshed, it has become elastic, as in youth, moisturized. The contour of the face has become clearer, I am also doing face building along the way and am very pleased with the changes taking place.
