Vanilla Pancakes

“When I was a little girl, my mom always made pancakes for us on Sundays. I also liked the smell of vanilla when my mom made me cookies. So I always asked her to make me cookies, and when she refused, I took out the vanilla and sat next to her with the lid open so I could breathe in the aroma. My mom enjoyed it and said that if it's that important, we'll add some vanilla, just for me. After the first time she put in vanilla… it became a tradition.”

Product composition

3 egg yolks

2 tbsp. l. vanilla extract

1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

2 tablespoons of sugar

1/2 teaspoon salt

5 tablespoons melted butter

In a large bowl, mix milk, yolks and vanilla. Stir in flour, sugar, salt and melted butter until completely combined.

Heat a skillet over medium heat until cooked through. Grease a frying pan with vegetable oil. Pour about 1/4 cup of the batter into the pan, making sure the batter is all the way to the brim. When bubbles form on the top and the edges are dry, flip over and fry the other side until they are lightly browned on the other side and the edges are golden. Repeat with the remaining dough.

Fill pancakes with your favorite fruit, cream, caramel or even ice cream or cheese.

Bon appetit!
