This story happened 2 years ago.
I have a mother-in-law and she is an alcoholic. It all started with wine, but then she switched to heavier drinks, for which, of course, you have to pay.
I always knew she was selfish and rotten, but I had no idea how much.
Once I stayed with her 4-year-old son Sasha. We were driving to another city, and I thought it would be nice for us to take a break and eat at her place. The son loves his grandmother and, of course, does not know about her addiction.
When we arrived, she called someone and excitedly said that little Sashenka was with her. There was another woman in the house. I thought it was her friend.
I decided to take a shower as it was very hot and the drive was still 6 hours.
After I got out of the shower, I went to the kitchen where my son was supposed to be with his grandmother. But he wasn't. I asked her, "Where is he?" She replied that she sent him to the yard to play with her friend.
Noticing his shoes under the kitchen table, I grabbed them and ran outside, pissed that she didn't even put the shoes on him. I went out into the yard and saw that woman pushing my little boy into a car with a strange man.
I ran across the lawn, grabbed her by the hair, dragged her away from the car and threw her on the ground to get my son. The woman immediately started screaming and proving to me that they just decided to take Sasha for ice cream. She yelled obscenities at me and said what a freak I am.
Don't care. The main thing is that the son is fine.
Two weeks later, the wife gets a call. Her mother is in jail (again) and has no money for a lawyer (of course). My wife tried to find a lawyer, but when they saw the case, they charged the price.
And all because the crime is terrible.
She and her alcoholic friend suggested the neighbor's 9-year-old daughter "go out for ice cream." But instead of going to the store, they took her to a hotel and left her with a man in exchange for several thousand rubles.
They weren't very smart, so they advertised in some group and were quickly approached by the police. The guy in the hotel room was a cop. They were arrested.
Now she is where she deserves to be.
I hope in 4 years she will understand what she could have done.
