I witnessed a terrible story, as two lives ended at once. There lived a citizen and a citizen and they loved each other, they lived in one of the very prosperous European countries and right in the soul, everything is as it should be.
19 years together, only he has children from his first marriage, and nothing in the second: no children, no marriage. Cohabitation. Still, and so good, why do you need a stamp?
She dissolved in him, lived by him, followed his advice, did not look for occupation or society. And then he fell ill and she treated him, looked after him, was practically a nurse. He died, it was clear to everyone and, moreover, a long time ago, and she "died" with him. Life is over.
After all, even knowing that he was dying, he did not marry her and all his property went to other relatives. And then it also turned out that she invested all her savings in an apartment for his son with a pregnant wife. She has nowhere to live and nothing, not for anyone. Now, after 20 years in Switzerland, she is forced to return to her little family in Moldova and look for reasons to continue living.
Sheer sadness. And it's interesting to note:
😞 The woman completely ignored the obvious threat to her well-being;
😞 The man calmly disposed of her resources and did not even think about taking care of her for the future;
The life placed in another person goes with him. What remains?
