How to grow tomatoes on your own balcony.
Summer is coming, and with it almost unlimited access to vitamins from your own dacha. But it is not at all necessary to settle down outside the city in order to enjoy fresh vegetables. You can equip a mini-garden even in a city apartment. And grow on it neither more nor less, but a whole tomato patch. After all, there is such an easy way that even a beginner can handle it!
You can eat tomatoes all year round.
What is a summer kitchen without tomatoes? Bright salads, juicy kebabs, fragrant pizza... What's there: tomatoes are good at any time of the year. And in order not to overpay exorbitant prices in the “off season”, start growing tomatoes yourself. Yes, right at home. All you need is a balcony, a pot of soil, and one overripe tomato. Don't believe? See for yourself!
Chop the tomato and put it in a pot with soil.
Take one large tomato: juicy, overripe, with pronounced seeds.
Cut it into several large transverse slices and put it in a pot with prepared soil.
Cover with soil and wait.
Sprinkle soil on top, water and wait. And in between waiting, do not forget to irrigate the precious pot with water. The soil should be constantly moist, but not wet.
A week later.
In a week you will see the first green sprouts. Experienced gardeners advise to select the largest of them for 14-15 days and transplant them into a separate pot. Keep watering.
About a month later.
After a month, plant the most powerful sprout separately. And soon you will see how the fruits begin to ripen on it. Well, isn't it wonderful?
More care - and soon there will be a harvest.
