Short nails are not only convenient, but also fashionable. However, you should not ignore the important rules in manicure if you want your nails to look neat and elegant.
1. Red varnish is our everything
On short nails, red polish looks best - this is the most classic version of a manicure that will be appropriate anytime and anywhere. But not for owners of long nails - the risk of looking vulgar is too great.
2. No horizontal stripes
Graphic manicure is on trend and looks good on short nails, but the only thing you should avoid is horizontal stripes. They "cut" the nail, giving the impression that the nail plate is extended not in length, but in width. Don't ice!
3. Don't french
Trying to “depict” a jacket on short nails is a thankless task, you will only visually shorten the nail plate, which does not look very attractive. French is appropriate only if the nail at least slightly extends beyond the finger. If you really want some kind of design, then make a better moon manicure or a reverse jacket - it's also fashionable!
4. Avoid light shades
On very short nails, light shades can look ugly - they tend to “eat up” space, nails can seem very small. So it's better to grow a little first, and then paint your nails in white or pastel colors. But dark shades, on the contrary, look very impressive on short nails.
5. Treat yourself to glitter
But we can use sequins and glitter, and even need to! On long nails, this sparkle and shimmer is just terrible, but the owners of short ones should experiment more often with a fashion trend - it looks fresh and not at all boring.
6. Push back your cuticles
An unedged manicure is great, but remember that the cuticle is an extra millimeter of length, which is very critical for short nails. If you are a supporter of European manicure, then make sure that the cuticle is always pushed back, and use oil.
