Bright, fragrant and very tasty cookies are easy to prepare, keep for a long time, create a festive mood. Usually the name Red Velvet refers to the biscuit from which luxurious cakes are made.
You will need:
3 cups of flour,
0.3 cups of cocoa powder,
2.25 tsp.
baking powder, 0.25 tsp
soda, 0.5 tsp
salt, 1.3 cups sugar,
180 g diced butter,
3 room temperature eggs,
1-2 tbsp.
milk, 1 tsp
vanilla extract, 30 ml red food coloring,
0.5 cup white chocolate drops,
0.5 cup milk chocolate drops,
2 cups powdered sugar
How to cook:
1. Preheat the oven to 180ºС. Line baking sheets with baking paper.
2. Mix flour, cocoa, baking powder, soda, salt in a large bowl.
3. Beat butter with sugar with a blender until fluffy foam (about 3 minutes). Add the eggs one at a time while continuing to beat. Add milk, vanilla extract and coloring, beat again.
4. Pour in the flour mixture, mix. Pour in chocolate, stir.
5. Pour powdered sugar into a bowl. Scoop up the dough with a spoon, spread in powder and roll on all sides.
6. Put the balls in the powder on a baking sheet at a distance of 7-8 cm from each other. Bake for 11-13 minutes, avoiding browning. Cool completely before transferring from pan.
Red Velvet Cookies can be stored for up to 4 days in an airtight container.
