We create favorable conditions
The requirements of the plant under which it will bloom are as follows:
1. Spathiphyllum is planted in an optimally sized pot. When planted in a container that is too voluminous, it will grow the root system for a long time to the detriment of flowering; in a container that is too small, it will lack nutrients.
2. Top dressing should be with an emphasis on potassium and phosphorus.
3. Spathiphyllum loves to be kept on well-lit windowsills (shaded from the bright rays of the sun). Both lack and excess of lighting inhibit the laying of flower buds.
4. The soil should be loose, light, slightly acidic. Otherwise, the plant will not only not bloom, but may also die due to root rot.
5. Watering is done after the top layer of the substrate dries out.
6. The air around the plant should be humid. To do this, the bush and the space around it are sprayed with warm water from a spray bottle.
7. Harmful insects that have chosen a plant can also prevent its beautiful flowering.
8. The bush must be protected from drafts, including from the cold air of the air conditioner. If the plant becomes ill from hypothermia, there will be no question of any flowering.
Shock therapy for flowering
Sometimes the plant is given shock therapy. To do this, it is placed for 2-3 weeks in a cool room (t = 14-16 ° C), without watering during this period and without feeding.
After the specified time, the spathiphyllum is transferred to a bright, warm room, abundantly watered with settled water at room temperature.
The listed rules of care will help female happiness to form beautiful buds. Only in comfortable conditions will the bush delight its owner with spectacular and long flowering.
