I am 65 years old. And I'm overweight. I often hear that if you are over 60, then it is already impossible to lose weight. Well, let's see. I lost 6 kg in two months. In August, I weighed 98.5 kg, and today it is already 92.5. At the same time, I do not torture myself at all and do not deny myself gluttony.
The top photo is the starting point. He took guests to the Sea of Azov. They looked at me and respectfully say: "Boyarin!". Well, yes, weighing under a centner with a height of 170 cm is strong. So, maybe, until the very frosts, until I had to put on a winter jacket, I would not look at myself critically. And then I saw all the disgrace - something must be done about it.
What is my system? Everything is simple. There are only two levers. The first is nutrition, the second is movement. Well, this is already known to everyone for a long time, here I have not discovered anything new. However, how to do it is the question.
Main food. If I were younger, I would exhaust myself with physical exertion. But at 65 it won't work. You can’t burn a lot of fat, and overloading the body is easy at our age.
I follow the four NO's.
1. No bread. Including buns, pies, cookies, chips and more.
2. No sugar. Including candy, jam, ice cream cake and so on.
3. No alcohol. A special evil is beer with chips.
4. No dinner after 6 pm.
But that's not all I wanted to tell you about. If you firmly maintain these four NOs, then the weight will quickly go down. But at the same time it is easy to break loose and quickly gain the same kilograms. And a couple more on top. Therefore, I regularly give myself indulgences.
Every morning I drink coffee with a spoonful of sugar. Three or four times a month, when I really want to, I allow myself a good burger, or shawarma, or samsa, or yantyki. I can drink beer with roach or chips, or something stronger a couple of times a month.
And if after 18 hours an irresistible zhor takes me by the throat, then I cut a huge bowl of salad, and then fruit and nuts in pursuit until I fall off the table with a feeling of satiety.
During these two months, my weight dropped to 92.0 kg three times. But I raised it by willpower. To not force weight loss. Lose weight should be slow and calm. Then the weight will not come back.
