Cooking grated pie with jam

If you want to cook something as unusual as it is delicious, we have a wonderful recipe for grated pie , also called curly biscuits.

It is traditionally made with currant jam, but grated pie is known to work just as well with any jam. For example, in our version, strawberry filler is used.

Ingredients

Egg - 2 pcs.
Wheat flour - 500 g
Butter - 200 g
Sugar - 250 g
Vanillin - 0.5 tsp
Baking powder - 1 tsp
Strawberry jam - 200 g
Cooking
  1. Cooking shortcrust pastry for the pie . Set the butter to melt in a small saucepan. During this time, sift the flour with the baking powder.
  2. Pour the melted butter into a deep bowl and mix with sugar, eggs and vanilla.
  3. Slowly add the flour to the liquid mixture while kneading the dough. When it is ready, divide it into two parts. Put the first part in the freezer for 1 hour, and roll the second to the desired size, put it in an oiled form and cover with a layer of jam about 1 cm thick.
  4. Remove the dough from the freezer and grate it on a coarse grater. Sprinkle the jam generously with shavings and send the grated pie to bake in an oven preheated to 200 degrees for 25 minutes.
The finished cake is usually cut into oblong diamonds and sprinkled with powdered sugar, which gives rise to disputes about what this dessert really is: a cake or a cookie?
