In March 2016, in Greenville, South Carolina, Allen Jacobs, a police officer, was killed while on duty: an attempt to detain a seventeen-year-old criminal turned out to be fatal for him. The deceased policeman left a wife and ... a daughter who was about to be born.
Lennox, as the girl will soon be called, became the first-born in this family. Unfortunately, she will never have to meet her father, but her mother Megan tried to do everything possible so that the memory of Allen Jacobs lived in the heart of the child.
Longtime friend of the woman, photographer Jesse Ellex, agreed to take exciting photos, during this photo shoot Meghan posed for a pregnant woman. A little later, a group of men in blue uniforms appeared on the set ...
A group of Greenville police officers decided to participate in a small family memorial event. Prior to this, Megan was going to make a collage of Allen's early photos, but changed her mind, deciding that now the colleagues of the deceased officer would become the protectors of little Lennox.
Together, they took many photos in which Meghan uses her husband's police insignia: a folded American flag and a badge that the widow tied with a blue ribbon to her stomach.
“The world has lost another cop, but we have lost a father, a husband and a dear friend ,” says Ellex. Megan kept bringing ultrasounds of her future daughter to Allen's grave. To let him know that she's okay.
Little Lennox was born in July of this year, and now Meghan is planning another photo shoot with police officers. The girl should know that now she has personal guardian angels, and the spirit of her deceased father will always hover over her. Share this story with others!
