Meatballs with potatoes in the oven
This is a chic hot option for both a holiday and a simple dinner!
Ingredients:
potatoes - 1 kg
milk - 200 ml
butter - 3 tbsp.
l. homemade minced meat (can be chicken) - 500 gr
fresh tomatoes - 2-3 pcs.
onion - 1 pc.
hard cheese - 50 gr
salt, spices - to taste
vegetable oil for frying
fresh herbs for serving
Cooking:
Peel the potatoes, cut them and boil until tender in salted water.
Peel the onion, cut into small cubes or pass through a meat grinder.
Add chopped onion, salt, spices to the minced meat and knead the minced meat well.
Remove the cooked potatoes from the heat, drain the liquid, add the butter and milk.
Mash the potatoes with a potato masher or chop with an immersion blender.
Mashed potatoes should not be runny.
Put the finished puree into a heat-resistant form and level it.
Form meatballs from minced meat and fry in vegetable oil on all sides for 5-7 minutes.
Spread meatballs over mashed potatoes.
Cut the tomatoes as desired, you can - in circles, or you can - in small pieces.
Spread tomatoes over potatoes.
Grate the cheese on a coarse grater.
Sprinkle the casserole with cheese.
Preheat the oven to 200 degrees.
Put the casserole in the oven and cook for 15-20 minutes.
Remove the potatoes with meatballs from the oven, sprinkle with chopped herbs and serve hot.
