Bloating is a very annoying issue that is usually the result of overeating or eating too much fatty foods.
This occurs when the gastrointestinal tract is filled with air or gas, resulting in swelling, pain, flatulence, frequent burping or rumbling and gurgling in the abdomen.
Bloating can often be the result of the following conditions:
- Heartburn
- irritable bowel syndrome
- Hormonal flow
- Inflammatory bowel disease such as ulcerative colitis or Crohn's disease
- Functional disorders of the gastrointestinal tract
- food intolerance
- Eating disorders such as anorexia or bulimia
- Weight gain
- Giardiasis (intestinal parasitic infection)
However, you can prevent this by following a few simple tips:
Avoid salt. Limit your salt intake as this is one of the most common causes of water retention and bloating.
Eat slowly. eating food too quickly leads to swallowing air, which can cause bloating.
Increase your intake of potassium-rich foods. These foods prevent exposure to salty foods.
Stop chewing gum. This is another habit that leads to air swallowing and bloating.
Read food labels. You need to make sure that the processed foods you buy contain no more than 500mg of sodium per serving as this causes bloating.
Drink 8 glasses of water daily. Water removes toxins from the body and promotes healthy digestion.
Black coffee. A cup of black coffee daily can cause colon contractions and prevent bloating.
Peppermint tea. Tea treats gas as it relaxes the digestive tract and improves normal peristalsis.
Avoid drinking through a straw

Interesting methods, but they didn’t come in handy for me anymore, quite often there is such a problem, I used to try a lot of things, but there was little effect, until a friend advised me to drink simethicone with fennel during gas (I ordered it in the Fitomarket online store, it’s more profitable and convenient) and of course go on a diet a little, as a result of which I now easily cope with both bloating and metiorism, because I found a good way to deal with this)
